The GXW crew is honored to be joined by Dr. Nicholas J. Harrison aka "Nick The Guy". he is the writer and performer of his one man stage show titled "How Star Wars Saved My Life" which ran in Vancouver in 2017.
It is a story about how a man survived horrible childhood abuse by accidentally wandering into a showing of Star Wars back in 1977.
This episode discusses the show, his personal story,  his performing  history with Disneyland, theatre sports and as "Nick the Guy", his work in the 501st - Outer Rim Garrison of BC and what he does now to spread the word of Hope to others.

This is without a doubt the most powerful and most meaningful episode we have done as a podcast. We hope you can join us!

It is Part 1 of our two part discussion on British Comedies.

In this episode we discuss the boom of British humour starting in the 1960s to the 1980s.

From ground breaking shows such as "Carry On", "The Two Ronnies", "Are You Being Served?" and of course "Monty Python's Flying Circus". 
We then look at the progression of humour into the 70 and 80s with "Fawlty Towers", "The Young Ones", "Only Fools and Horses" and so much more.
We also examine British "Naughty Words" and the differences between North American and British humour.

Rob is bridging the generation gap by inviting his brother, Steve Williams and Dad, Jim Williams to talk about a holiday staple: A Christmas Story.

We not only look back at the wonderful moments of this classic 1983 Christmas movie, Dad shares his experiences living during this time when the Olds would freeze up, furnaces would backfire, dogs would chase you down the street and the only way to settle a issue was a good ol' fashion beating.

Rob also opens his Commonwealth Secret Santa gift!

Rob and Jamie are joined again by Karl Germyn (while Anil is AFK) to talk about a cult movie franchise that had a major impact on our young lives: Tron.

We look into the 1982 original series and discuss its revolutionary style while trying to figure out why it was deemed unsuccessful.

We also look back at the 2010 sequel Tron Legacy. The imagery, the continuation of the classic story and most of all, the music by Daft Punk.

We also discuss other areas such as the classic Tron arcade game, Tron Uprising and the possibility of Tron 3.
